LYNN, MA – Last night marked a milestone in the North Shore Baseball League (NSBL) that is unprecedented and hard to imagine will ever be broken.  In the 8-7 victory of the Peabody Champions over North Shore Phillies, Mike Giardi hit a homerun in only his 8th at-bat of the season for the Pub.  Battling an ankle injury, Mike still managed to play in the field through out the game.

The significance of the homerun is that Giardi has hit a homer in every single season for the Peabody Champions since the Summer of 1998.  That’s 20 straight seasons in the NSBL with a homerun! Although playtime has been minimal this season, Giardi still proves to be a power threat every at-bat for the Champions as he keeps his homerun streak alive here in the 2017 NSBL Season.

With 10 wins on the season, the Peabody Champions are sure to be back in the playoffs and look to make it back to the NSBL Finals for a 2nd straight season.  For more, view our social media pages! @PlayNSBL
